Projects

We have come up with a process for new projects at the garden.  The goals of this process was to plan things out and get input from gardeners and the community.  Here is a summary of how the process will work.

1.  A garden member takes on a project and sketches a diagram and writes up a description of the plan.

2. The member discusses the plan with the site coordinators for input such as zoning and financial viability.

3.  The agreed on project proposal is posted on the Oak Street Garden sign and website and feedback is collected from the community.

4. Depending on feedback the project is either revised or begins.

We are testing this design out with plans for the new composters and the shed porch area.  Please visit these pages and give us feedback.

Odd Jobs Team
Back of Sign Banner: To be added to the back of the main sign. gives some info about the garden and contact information. Lowell and Mike
Coordination of permanent crops: Part of our original plan was to have shared beds which contained plants which were more permanent such as raspberry bushes, asparagus, possibly even eventually fruit trees. This requires some long term planning and might not even happen until next season. Lowell, Ian, and Nick
Rain Barrel Installation: We have acquired a rain barrel but need to install it and ease troughs on the roof of our shed. Asia has started project.
Thank You Sender: This entails putting a thank you card together, with a photo, on cardstock, and being in charge of sending thank you’s to whoever is owed one.
